Quick Start Guide

Here's a few points to get you started with your new scooter.

Before you start

  • Always read the user instruction manual and battery charging before operating your scooter.
  • DO NOT smoke or use a naked flame when charging the scooter's batteries.
  • Always charge your scooters batteries in a well ventilated room.
  • Keep your battery charger dry. Never expose it to rain or water. Always charge your scooter indoors only!

Getting started with you scooter

  • Connect the round charger plug into your scooter's battery box or tiller (consult your user instruction manual on the charging type that's applicable to your scooter).
  • Connect the mains plug to the wall socket and switch the wall socket on.
  • After at least 8 hours, switch the wall socket off. disconnect the mains plug from the wall.
  • Disconnect the round charger plug from the scooter.

Before your first scooter ride

  • Leave the scooter on charge for at least 8 hours before you use it. Leaving your batteries charging when the "charge complete" light comes on it will condition them and extend their useful life.

Keeping your scooter batteries healthy

  • If you don't use your scooter batteries everyday, keep them on charge. Your scooter will use very little electricity and this will help condition and extend your batteries life.

Storing your scooter

  • There are a few things you need to do when storing your vehicle for extended periods without use. Before storing, charge the batteries for 24 hours or more. When ready to store, disconnect the battery box or battery leads from the vehicle. If possible and it is safe to do so, release the parking brake (freewheel). Keep the vehicle as dry and warm as possible. Return to vehicle at least once a month to re-connect batteries and charge for 24 hours or longer. If you have an off-board charger it would be easier to remove the batteries from the vehicle and store them in a dry, well ventilated place where they can be charged every month.

If you are unsure of anything, always consult your user instruction manual first.
